Recently, NASA has selected some proposals that include research to be done from the moon. It’s detailed in NASA Selects Astrophysics Projects for New Science on the Moon. Last year they shared interesting information about moonlight in Strange Moonlight. Did you know most of us can not read in moonlight?
And in time for your nest discussion of the moon, "new" lunar photos, or at least not seen by the public for 30 years - detailed photos of the moon.

The moon is full, families come together and eat a meal including mooncakes and the 2nd most important Chinese festival is celebrated around the world. Some compare the holiday to the American Thanksgiving. The Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival, sometimes called "Moon Festival", occurs annually on 8/15 of the lunar calendar, near the Harvest Moon. The next ones are: Oct. 4, 2017; Sept. 24, 2018; Friday, Sept. 13, 2019; Thursday, October 1, 2020; Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2021; and Saturday, Sept. 10, 2022.
