The moon is full, families come together and eat a meal including mooncakes and the 2nd most important Chinese festival is celebrated around the world. Some compare the holiday to the American Thanksgiving. The Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival, sometimes called "Moon Festival", occurs annually on 8/15 of the lunar calendar, near the Harvest Moon. The next ones are: Oct. 4, 2017; Sept. 24, 2018; Friday, Sept. 13, 2019; Thursday, October 1, 2020; Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2021; and Saturday, Sept. 10, 2022.
September 2007 update: In 2004 – 2006, I was using Mandarin Tools converter (updated hidden link in HTML editor) but the site has moved and now hangs at the new address. I am looking for a converter that I can recommend comfortably.
